Memphis vs Gtown Confirmed

18 06 2007

Georgetown seems to be getting alot of respect back since the Final Four run of last season. Memphis has just added Georgetown to play at the FedEx Forum in Memphis,TN. What a place to play basketball. I know i will be there for the action.

The Tigers will postpone a game with Mississippi one season so the series can begin this year. Memphis won’t play the Rebels again until 2008-09 in Memphis and 2009-10 in Oxford.

“This Georgetown game adds to what was already a great home schedule,” Calipari said in a statement. “I, too, want to thank Mississippi head coach Andy Kennedy for working with us, and I appreciate his help.”

Georgetown lost to Ohio State in the Final Four and finished 30-7 last season. Memphis went 33-4, losing in the regional semifinals for a second straight season.

Memphis will visit Georgetown in the 2008-09 season with the series taking a break in 2009-10 before the Hoyas visit Memphis in 2010-11 with the Tigers going back to Georgetown the next season.

“This Georgetown game is a big event, and I’m sure it will be on national television, which allows us to showcase our university, city and basketball program,” Memphis athletic director R.C. Johnson said.

Im back from the Break

Okay i know i was suppose to keep the content coming, but with the Wizards getting knocked out of the playoffs and the boring NBA Finals. Nothing much was going on until June 11th. That’s the start of the Goodman League. Washington’s Premier streetball league. If you dont’ know where Barry Farms is just ask any black person and they will tell you the rules.

I got alot of content for the summer, with access to players and news it’s going to be busy again. I have been around GW’s  campus watching Carl Elliot work out for the draft. I can say that Carl is looking good he just needs to push himself harder. Also during the workout i get to see Pops and Mike Hall work out with the mighty Keith Williams trainer to the best players in the area. So im back and lets get this started……
